The Company is developing a strong Corporate Responsibility Policy with the breadth and clarity that is required to engage in commerce in complex, challenging, global business environments. Beginning with a clear “Code of Conduct” , the Company’s Corporate Responsibility Mandates and Policies take into account the needs and well being of “the business and its shareholders”, “the people it employs and communicates with”, the communities in which it conducts business” and “the environments in which it interacts”.
The Company’s Corporate Responsibility Policy is integrated and envelops and addresses the corporate, human, social and environmental conditions, concerns and needs, particular to each culture and environment with which the Company conducts its business. The Company has Mandates and Policies that address its reporting and ongoing disclosure responsibilities, internal financial control systems, employee and consultant’s work environments and their overall well being.
The Company is also working to develop strong policies that address issues affecting local and indigenous peoples who will participate in, or be impacted in some way by the Company’s business on their land or in their local communities.
